When I turned 28 or 29 my best friend let me ride one of her horses on the condition that I gallop, which I had never done before. I was very, very excited and equally terrified, and it turned out to be a wonderful, exhilarating experience.

After, she took me for tea and birthday cake, and then for dinner and to the cinema.

Clearly my best birthday celebration to date!
